EXCLUSIVE: Fair Play helmer Chloe Domont has added five to the cast of her Neon film, A Place in Hell: Danny Huston (Wonder Woman), Arturo Castro (upcoming Tron: Ares), Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live), Dani Oliveros (Skillhouse) and Esther McGregor (Babygirl).
Character details are under wraps. Recently wrapping production in New Jersey, the film is a thriller that follows two women at a high-profile criminal law firm.
As we were first to tell you in February, Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones lead the ensemble, which also features Andrew Scott. Domont directed from her own script, with Neon co-financing alongside MRC and Republic Pictures, and T-Street producing. Neon will also release the film theatrically in the U.S., with Republic Pictures handling international distribution.
Domont’s last film Fair Play was one of the breakout hits at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, with Netflix ultimately making it one of the major acquisitions of the festival.
In Cannes this year, Neon earned its sixth consecutive Palme d’Or with Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident and also acquired Jury Prize winner Sirât, The Secret Agent from Best Director winner Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Ugo Bienvenu’s animated adventure Arco. Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice, which the studio boarded earlier this year, will world premiere in Venice, with its films The Secret Agent, It Was Just An Accident, Sirât, Sentimental Value, and Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie set to play TIFF.
Huston is represented by Julian Belfrage Associates, Untitled Entertainment, and UTA. Castro is repped by WME, Untitled Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller. Mooney is repped by UTA and Rise Management. Oliveros is repped by Buchwald and Brave Artists Management. McGregor is repped by 3 Arts Entertainment.
