Apple debuted its third-generation AirPods Pro at Tuesday’s “Awe-Dropping” event, featuring heart rate tracking, improved audio, and a smaller, more interactive charging case.
Three years have passed since Apple updated its AirPods Pro Line, and in 2022 we will be releasing the Pro 2 model. The new AirPods Pro is available for pre-order today for a cost of $249. The headphones will arrive at the store on September 19th.

One of the outstanding features of the AirPods Pro 3 is the first heart rate sensing feature on the AirPods line. This addition works similarly to the PowerBeats Pro 2, which uses LED sensors to provide accurate measurements. The collected data will be synced with Apple’s Fitness app.
Active noise cancellation, which reduces external noise, has been greatly improved. Apple says it removes twice as much noise as the Pro 2.
A notable feature is the live translation feature thanks to Apple’s iOS 26 software update. This allows you to have conversations in a variety of languages. This will use your iPhone to play one language and translate while AirPods are processing the other language.
Other notable updates include smaller, more comfortable earphones. Apple currently offers five different sized foam ear tips, and the company claims to be “the best AirPods.”
The current model represents a solid improvement, but considerable speculation spread before events regarding the potential release of the second version of the AirPods Pro 3.

The high-end variant of this rumor is expected to have a higher price range than the other versions. An important hardware upgrade is an infrared camera that can detect hand gestures and improve spatial audio experience when used with Apple’s Vision Pro headset.
The second version of the Pro 3 model is projected to be released in 2026.
