Various other journalists and outlets quickly dismissed Fjortoft’s claim.
Ben Jacobs wrote to X: If the transaction is completed, expectations are below £130 million or not at all. Isaac remains optimistic about moving to Anfield before the windows close.

And Fjortoft backtracked to some extent during his Bein Sports Punditry duties due to a clash with Manchester United’s Burnley.
Prior to the match at Old Trafford, he said:
