Manchester United reportedly sought an evolving Chelsea star in negotiations over the sale of Alejandro Garnacho to the London Club.
United have tried to shift some players from the surplus book to requirements this summer. They rented Marcus Rashford to Barcelona, but Ghanacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia are still in the club.
If they sell each of those players, they should potentially earn some new talent and a decent amount.
They have also looked into mid-range signatures after improving their offense, but the lack of available funds has hindered the pursuit of Brighton’s Carlos Valleva, but Crystal Palace doesn’t want to sell Adam Wharton.
However, United have looked for a solution to both problems. They have been negotiating with Chelsea for a while about a potential sales of Garnacho.
The Red Devils want £50 million, but their Premier League rivals don’t want to pay more than £30 million.
However, to potentially lower prices and add midfield stars to the ranks, Transfer Insider Ben Jacobs suggests United wanted Andrei Santos.
He said at the United Stand:
“I don’t think Chelsea wants to sell so I don’t think we’re going to lead anywhere. That’s another player. Manchester United is grateful. That’s just that at this stage.”
It’s no surprise that Chelsea doesn’t want to lose Santos. After being loaned out to Strasbourg last season, he scored 10 league goals and four more goals, playing four times in the Blues’ Club World Cup in the summer, assisting once, and coming off the bench at the Premier League opener this season.

According to reports from the beginning of the summer, West Ham has approached Chelsea about a potential £45 million transfer for Santos, but has passed away as Enzo Maresca’s side has seen many promises in the Brazilian midfielder.
Reuben Amorim doesn’t want him and doesn’t need cash, so they sweat that Garnacho has to go to Stamford Bridge at a cut price fee.
A recent report says the Red Devils gave Tottenham a green light to approach Garnacho.
