Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly fired on one condition as Kobbie Mainoo’s situation at the Club has baffled his Red Devils teammate.
The Red Devils had a rather busy summer, bringing in five new players and Amorim was circling his fate after Amorim finished 15th in last year’s Premier League.
Man Utd is not starting very well with more inconsistent performance. That means he’s currently 14th after one win, one loss and two losses on four fixtures.
Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo have joined in a total of nearly £200 million as Man UTD looks to avoid being one of the lowest scoring sides in the Premier League like last season.
However, many fans and former players believe that a portion of that money has been used more to bring in new midfielders before the September 1 deadline.
Man Utd tried to bring in Carlos Baleba early in the window, but the deal was by no means realistic as Brighton wanted to win a fee of around £115 million to Cameroon International this summer.

The need for a defensive midfielder was once again revealed on Sunday. They lost 3-0 to Arch-Rivals Man City, and Amorim issued a rebellious message following the suggestion that he should change his style so that he can use it at his own disposal.
Amorim said:
“I’m not going to change my philosophy. I’ll play my own path until I want to change. I accept that it’s not a record at Manchester United, but there are many things I don’t know what happened in the last few months.
“I understand everything. (Criticism) is normal, but I don’t acknowledge that we’re not getting better. We’re improving it. The results don’t show that. The records say it all.
“My message is that I do everything. I give everything. It’s not my decision, it’s the rest. I’ll do my best. I’m suffering more than (fans).’

There have been conflicting rumors about whether Amorim is under pressure from the Man UTD board, but GivemeSport claims he will be fired this season only if it appears likely that he will miss out on European football for the second consecutive season.
Givemesport wrote: “Ir Jimratcliffe tells GMS that he feels that the team is sufficient to compete in the Champions League this season, and says that Amorim’s job safety will be discussed more seriously if there is no European football course as the season progresses.
“But as it stands, Manchester United seniors feel they’ve been shown enough progress or potentially showing them so that they don’t start exploring other candidates yet.”
Kobbie Mainoo is considered one of Man Utd’s most talented players, but Amorim continues to leave him on the bench with Talksport, claiming that he “confused” his teammates.
The website writes: “Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is known to be a admirer of Mineu and will consider testing United’s resolve if the 21-year-old continues to find herself in the cold.
“It is said that even Mainoo’s teammates are baffled by Amorim’s lack of faith in the player who won the Man United winner in the 2024 FA Cup final and are baffled by his start in the UK that summer in the European Championship final in Berlin.”
