Head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly told the Manchester United star how he can be the “best in the world” in his position.
Manchester United have had a fantastic few weeks, defeating Sunderland and Liverpool, winning back-to-back Premier League games for the first time under Amorim, and following up with victory over Brighton.
This sudden turnaround in form eased the pressure on Amorim, who was on the verge of being sacked, and lifted Man United into sixth place in the Premier League table.
There is therefore an injection of optimism at Old Trafford, helped by the success of summer signings Senne Lamence, Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Each of these players has had a big impact in recent games and helped Man United turn things around, but other recent arrivals have struggled.

In January, the Red Devils spent around £25 million signing Patrick Dorg from Serie A side Lecce. He is a natural wing-back who suits Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed good form and starts over the past 10 months, but has fallen down the pecking order of late. He has featured on the bench in Man United’s last three Premier League games.
Nevertheless, a new report in The Sun claims Amorim is fully backing Dorg, who is “allegedly” to have the potential to become “the world’s best left-back”.
This is said to be down to what Dorg learned from PSG standout Nuno Mendes, who previously worked with Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.

The report also claims that Amorim is “obsessed” with helping Dorgu reach his full potential, and points out that the defender’s three qualities boost the head coach’s confidence.
A source told The Sun: “Dorg has had his ups and downs this season, but Amorim fully supports him.”
“He believes Dorg’s athleticism, skillset and mentality will enable him to be United’s left-back for the next 10 years.
“The goal is to make him more decisive in attack, like what Amad is giving them on the other side: more assists, more goals, more involvement in second balls.”
They added: “They have also worked with him to cover the left side of the central defense, as Mendes sometimes does at PSG.”
“Amorim is obsessed with getting Dorgu to that level as quickly as possible. He really thinks he’s the next Nuno Mendes.”
