The “absolutely hopeless” Manchester United star was blown up ahead of the derby against Manchester City at Etihad this weekend.
The first Manchester Derby of the 2025/26 campaign will take place on Sunday as Man Utd travels to face Arch-Rivals Man City.
Ruben Amorim has already confirmed that Alter Bayindir will start before the deadline to sign Senne Lammens, but each team has lost the game.
Explaining this decision, Amorim stated:
“It’s a different league, a different country, a different training, a different ball.
“So we’re going to try and keep it up and they’ll fight for that position, but when it’s obvious to me in this game, Altai starts.”

Regarding Runmen, he added: “He’s a goalkeeper with a lot of potential, and I know he’s in a moment where he really needs to be strong and have a lot of experience.
“We’re also a moment where we have to look at the present, but we’re also focusing on the future. It’s both a bit. He’s a guy with great potential with another option to play (for us) and ready.”
Former Chelsea and Celtic player Craig Burley believes Man City can expose Bay Indil, who is “absolutely hopeless” in one.
“Along with Bayindir, I’m just putting all the set pieces on top of Haaland and him, swinging it around under the crossbar and waving it for fun,” Burley told ESPN.
“If there’s someone who throws a long throw at Hell, Man City, I throw it in Loriderap style.
“I’m just loading it into a box, so he’s absolutely hopeless about coming out and handling the air ball. He shows it.”

Burley also believes Man Utd has another “big problem” as he has no chance to “dominate the middle of the park.”
“If it’s mid-2, I can’t help but look at Sesmiro and Fernandez and think that the city has to control the area, and that they have to do so,” Burley added.
“And if they dominate the area as I expect, the supply lines for a wide range of players and Erling Haaland will be abundant.
“I don’t know how United will control the middle of the park.
“Yeah, they have Mbeumo and forward players who can go in behind and hurt the city, but you have to own the ball. That was a big problem for them.”
