EXCLUSIVE: Genevieve O’Reilly, known for her work in the Star Wars franchise as young Mon Mothma, most recently in Disney+ series Andor, has signed with Authentic Talent & Literary Management for representation.
O’Reilly stars alongside Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, and Adria Arjona in Andor, which is currently airing its second and final season. She has portrayed the iconic character Mon Mothma off-and-on for 20 years in the franchise, beginning with 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. She has since appeared as the character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and in series Star Wars: Go Rogue, Star Wars: Rebels and Ahsoka.
For her performance in Andor, O’Reilly received a nomination for Supporting Actress – Drama at the 2023 Irish Film and Television Awards. The series has earned 8 Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and won a prestigious Peabody Award.
O’Reilly’s additional credits include the role of Gretchen in The Dry opposite Eric Bana, for which she earned a Best Lead Actress nomination at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards. Her feature work also includes Fox Searchlight’s Tolkien alongside Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins. On television, O’Reilly starred opposite Tim Roth across multiple seasons of Sky’s Tin Star and joined James Nesbitt in the BAFTA-nominated drama The Secret.
On stage, O’Reilly originated the role of Mary Carney in Sam Mendes’ London West End and Broadway productions of The Ferryman.
