Reports say Liverpool is trapped in Giovanni Leoni’s signature from Palma after the Italians said “say yes,” “say yes,” and “yes.”
The Reds have launched their summer transfer windows with two backup goalkeeper options, all signed by Florian Wiltz, Hugo Ekitique, Milos Kerkez and Jeremy Frimpong.
Liverpool put all the weight behind Arne Slot in the summer transfer window after Dutchman won the Premier League title in his first season in charge.
The Reds were even able to add Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac to their team.
Liverpool has already rejected an offer of £110 million for ISAK and is now waiting for Newcastle to make the exchange and encourage the Reds before bidding again.
In the meantime, Liverpool has turned their attention to seriously improving their options at centre-back with Crystal Palace’s Marcguech and Palma’s Leoni at the top of the list.

The Reds are about to sign “both” players this summer. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed yesterday that Guegi had “accepted personal terms” ahead of the potential £35 million switch.
Romano writes to X: Giovanni Leoni is also on the move. Negotiations with the Palace are currently underway for a total package of around £35 million. #LFC works with both Guehi and Leoni, but is not the alternative revealed today.
And now, Romano has revealed that 18-year-old Leoni also said yes to Liverpool.
Romano was added to X on Wednesday morning: “Liverpool is staying in Italy on loan so Giovanni Leoni is no longer discussed as an option. He will soon be effective and become a part of the Arne Slot Squad. Club-to-Club Talk is underway with Parma, saying yes to #LFC and not needing convincing.

Liverpool is once again one of their favorites to win the Premier League title, but former Reds defender Jamie Carrager doesn’t think he’s going to “run away” like last season.
Carragher said:
“I think we’ll do the title race. Looking at history, it’s not just about having the best players, but having the best team, getting that balance right, and it didn’t look right at all on the weekend (Community Shield).
“I think the great thing about football is what I actually saw on Sunday with Liverpool. It didn’t look right. They probably would have lost the game at normal times when I saw it.
Regarding Wirtz’s signature, Carragher added: “Even before the season, he just looks like a class. He looks like a special footballer. He also got a glimpse into the Community Shield.
“He’s a Liverpool player, but when someone comes to the Premier League, I think it feels like one of the players, and I think it’s going to be a great addition to the stars.
“For me, I’m thinking about losing Kevin de Bruin, one of the best players we’ve ever had in the league.
