Apple is behind in the race to turn Siri into an AI assistant as strong as its competitors. As consumers become more impatient, Apple is considering using technology from another company instead of developing its own.
According to Apple Insider Mark Gurman, editor of Bloomberg, Apple is currently exploring a partnership with Google, the most direct competitor in the smartphone business.
The company previously approached Openai and humanity for a similar discussion about using technology to power SIRIs, and reportedly Google began training models that can run on Apple’s servers.
Apple is not expected to decide whether to bring Siri Revamp’s partner for a few more weeks.
