Liverpool manager Arne Slott has been warned he needs to find a “solution” if he is to continue playing at Anfield after four successive league defeats.
The reigning Premier League champions have suffered a significant drop in form and the team that many thought would make it all the way to the title currently sit in seventh place.
The nature of the defeat means Slott faces the toughest challenge of his managerial career to date, and former Liverpool player Stephen Warnock believes there will come a time when the ownership group begins to have doubts.
“I don’t think there’s that much pressure given what he achieved last year,” Warnock exclusively told F365. “I think the ownership group will understand that there must be a curse in the contract they have signed that they have to find a solution to.
“I think people can think, ‘Oh, things are great, we’re going to move through the league, we just got all the best players.'” That’s not going to happen. It needs to gel. they need to be integrated. They need to find a rhythm.

“So, I don’t think he’s under pressure, but I think there’s going to be a point where the owners say, ‘Okay, how far have we come with this? What solutions and what have we found in the last few games and what do we need going forward?’
“I think he’s good enough at the moment because of what he did last year. I think he has a lot more work to do before he’s put under pressure.”
Asked why Liverpool are struggling despite spending so much in the summer, Warnock suggested the team is both outclassed and outclassed.
“I think there’s a lot going on at Liverpool,” he said. “We’re trying to find a system that wins for everyone and a system that gels everyone.
“I think it was obviously not ideal that Alexander Isak came into the team late. We had a lot of ups and downs all summer. When you try to retain the league title, it’s very difficult.”
“I think the flip side of things is that people recognize the difficulty and pressure of playing for Liverpool.
“The biggest thing I saw against Brentford the other day was that the team was beaten. And I think when you think about the best teams in the world winning league championships, a lot of times they’re also winning the battle and that’s half the battle.”
