Critic Danny Murphy claimed that one Premier League star was on the “level” above Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Chelsea’s Moise Skyseko.
There was debate about who is the best midfielder in the Premier League since Manchester United legend Gary Neville chose Kaiseko after a 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday evening.
Neville praised Kassedo after claiming he was ahead of Rice, Ryan Greisenberch and Rodri based on his form after scoring an astonishing goal from distance in the Chelsea statement victory over Liverpool on Saturday evening.
“He’s the best midfielder in the league at the moment,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“And I think I’m saying that, last season, Greygunbellch, and perhaps Declan Rice and Rodri, have clearly been in the last few years.
“But now, I think at this point I can say that Caiceto is the best midfielder in the league and he’s playing that way.”

However, Danny Murphy explained why he thinks Liverpool’s Star Greygunbellch should be on the same level as Rice and Kayseko, as he is now “before” the Chelsea Star, after shining for the Reds last season.
“Kaiseko is outstanding. For me, Greygunbellch, Rice and Kayseko – these three come to mind right away. They all have a slightly different attribute,” Murphy told Talksport.
“Kaiseko has changed people’s views a bit over the past three weeks as they won two worlds against Brentford and Liverpool. Until then, I think his goal tally has been very disastrous.
“Many people say he’s not creating, he’s not a creative passerby. He’s not pulling it out of his feet to open up his defense.
“Gravenberch can do a little more. Declan can do it a little. They all have these great qualities. They’re all tenacious and strong.
“Kaiseko is currently playing best as a midfielder, but I’m still going to have Grave Bemberch before him.”

Still, Murphy claimed that Rodri remains the best Premier League midfielder after winning the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
“Rodri is better than all of them, the level before them,” Murphy added to Rodri, who joined Man City for around £63 million.
“For a few seasons, Rodri’s level was epic and absolutely epic.”
