Arsenal striker Victor Gjoker is struggling at Emirates Stadium, according to former Premier League forward Troy Deaney.
The North Londoners got off to a good start in their new season, beating Manchester United and Leeds United with two opening fixtures, but a 1-0 loss to Liverpool means Mikel Arteta’s side will have to pick up themselves to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Against Liverpool, Arsenal was accused of not taking the risk after being tilted to play in the side of Arneslot to cause many issues.
When asked if Arsenal players should find Gyoker’s running, Deeney stated in Turksport:
“Do you think midfielders and Arsenal players aren’t enough to watch the run?”
When asked if the Gunners player lacked courage for not taking the dangerous ball, former Watford striker Deany replied: “Or they don’t trust him.”

It was pointed out by Deeney that Gyoker played against Leeds United after running to Riccardo Calafiori’s loftball and bagged Arsenal’s first goal.
Deeney added: “What happened, this is what the fans get caught up in.
“He gave him great respect and opposed Leeds. He played five or six balls at the top and played him on four or five occasions to compete with Man United. He ran the wrong way and no one said anything.
“So I think the player element goes. “I don’t know.” When Kai Herberts plays in fit, they tell you that they give him the ball. ”

When Gyoker was placed on him as being the type of player Arsenal needed in advance, Deeney replied:
“Look, I think the kid is fine. He’s fine. I don’t think he’s that guy.”
Before continuing: “My point is that you shouldn’t have these conversations around a striker.
“If you have it because you identified earlier, ‘He’s for us,’ and we shouldn’t have these debates whether he can do it.
“He should now come to get Arsenal on the line. But what will we do in a few weeks?
“So he scored in one game for Arsenal, so he obviously got two (the goal). There was no game you did, ‘It’s the player’.”
Taking another step of whether Arsenal teammates need to find Gyoker sooner, Deeney added:
“(eberechi)eze? (noni)maduke? So, with these four players, I think they have it. Do you think Declan Rice is (competent) too?
“So why have you just seen it against Leeds in the game so far?”
