Arsenal and Buyako Saka have reached a “full agreement” on a new contract for the Gunners winger, who is worth more than £15 million a year, according to reports.
The Gunners have made a great start to the new season with Mikel Arteta’s side currently top of the Premier League after 11 games.
Arsenal are currently four points behind second-placed Manchester City, and a further four points behind defending champions Liverpool, who have had a disastrous season.
Despite spending big in the summer, Arsenal are now focused on bringing in some new signings, although in recent weeks there have been rumors of a potential new signing coming in January.
Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that Arsenal are “making very good progress” on Saka’s new contract.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Meanwhile, Arsenal are working on new contracts. Contracts are very important for Arsenal. We saw that because they extended William Saliba’s contract. They did a very good job with Miles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri. So Arsenal always have the right attitude when it comes to new contracts and I wanted to mention three more.”

“Arsenal are making very good progress for Bukayo Saka. Negotiations are ongoing but the communication between Arsenal and Saka’s camp over a new contract is very positive. Saka wants to stay. Arsenal clearly want Saka to stay. So the conversations between Saka and Arsenal are very good at this stage.”
And journalist Mark Bulls told Catch Offside that he has been informed by sources that Arsenal and Saka have reached a “full agreement” for the finishing touches.
A source close to the club said: “Saka has reached a complete agreement with the club on a new contract until June 2030.
“Final arrangements such as image rights, bonus structure and media distribution are still being finalized. There are no issues. It’s just a calculated delay in line with Arsenal’s wider communications plan.”

Romano gave an update on other contracts Arsenal are looking to renew earlier this week, adding: “Julien Timber: Negotiations are ongoing between the Dutch defender and Arsenal over a new contract. So negotiations are ongoing on this too. Arteta is a big fan of the player. Timber is helping him in several positions and Arsenal believe he still has great potential.”
“He’s already doing well, but he has the potential to get even better in the future. That’s why Arsenal want to sign him to a new contract as soon as possible, and negotiations with Saka and Timber are progressing well.”
“So Arsenal are taking these two situations seriously, so let’s follow up.
“And what’s next? The priority now is Saka and Timber. Let’s also not forget that they gave David Raya a new salary. The contract period is the same, but a higher salary to make him happy. He was already happy, but to make him even happier and give him the reward he deserves, because Raya has been doing great not only this season but for Arsenal.”
“After all this, it’s going to take time so it’s not going to be today or tomorrow, but there is also an idea in Arsenal’s plans to offer Declan Rice a new contract. Arsenal also want to talk to Rice and offer him a new contract. That’s part of the plan, that’s part of the talks. So let’s go with that, because Rice will also be one of the names put forward internally for a natural new contract.”
