Arsenal’s move against the Premier League star has been reportedly “securely far away” for one important reason, with Tottenham Hotspur also being mentioned as a potential suitor.
This summer’s transfer window has always been essential for gunners after suffering from a disappointing campaign in 2024/25.
Mikel Arteta’s side endured the frustrating start of the window this summer and took the time to seal off the initial signature, and Liverpool quickly concluded the deal for Jeremy Fripon, Milos Kerquez and Florian Wiltz.
Still, the North London outfit has been caught up in the last few weeks as they have signed six summers. Landed Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Alizabaraga, Christian Norgado, Christian Mosquera, Noni Madueke and Victor Gyoker.
Gyoker’s priorities will cost around £200 million in summer, but as he is in the market for a new attack midfielder who is interested in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, you can do one or two more signatures in this window.

Arsenal has paid off with patience as they landed most of their top targets this summer, but they’ve linked them with some potential options.
The Gunners dodged the race to land Zubimendi from Real Madrid, but they signed Norgaard as an alternative to Thomas Party.
A report from bootroom journalist Graeme Bailey claims that Arsenal is also looking at Aston Villa’s outstanding Boubacal Kamala, but the deal is now “stricken off the table.”
Aston Villa wasn’t doing much business this summer as PSR fears have affected its transfer plans.

Bailey claims that Spurs and PSG are also running to sign Kamala, but the exit is off the table as he has decided to commit his future to Aston Villa and recently wrote a long-term contract extension until 2030.
Bailey explained: “Bubacal Kamara is said to have been firmly on Arsenal’s long list of midfield targets this summer.
“Tottenham really liked him and investigated him, but it quickly became clear that he would not leave Aston Villa.
“Interesting note: PSG is said to have been very impressed with Kamala during the Champions League meeting with Villa. They are now expected to continue his surveillance.”
