According to reports, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has “made the sudden decision to transfer”, while Miles Lewis-Skelly has been linked with a move to a rival club.
Arsenal have made a statement in the summer transfer window as the Premier League giants spent around £250m on several signings.
This business has undoubtedly helped the Gunners complete their squad. This summer’s most notable players include Victor Gokeres, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zvimendi, as they have quality options in every position.
Arteta’s side are therefore unlikely to make any signings in January, but they could let one or two players leave to make ends meet.
Gabriel Jesus is one of the players who is said to be likely to leave in the winter, having fallen down the rankings following Gokeres, who joined in the summer.
Jesus is working his way back to full fitness after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury earlier this year, but it has been suggested he could leave to get more regular action ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Despite this, a new report from Caught Offside claims that Arteta has “made a surprise transfer decision” on Jesus ahead of the winter transfer window, with the head coach opting to “prevent him from leaving in January”.
Jesus has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League and Brazil in recent weeks, with reports explaining that he remains part of Arteta’s plans.
The report adds:
“Jesus will remain part of Arteta’s first-team plans even after his return from injury and when he is fully fit again.
“While there was some doubt over the Brazil international’s situation due to increased competition for places in Arsenal’s attack, Arteta still appears keen to field a big squad and the former Manchester City player is seen as potentially playing a key role.”

England international Miles Lewis-Skelly has also been linked with a departure, as Arteta favored Riccardo Calafioli earlier this season and a move could increase his chances of playing in next summer’s World Cup.
Clubs are likely to be lining up to sign Louis Skelly if he becomes available, with recent reports suggesting Arsenal are set to sell the teenager if they receive a suitable bid in the summer.
Former Premier League striker Darren Bent has insisted Everton are ‘probably’ suitable for Lewis Skelly, but ex-Spurs player Jamie O’Hara has explained why he thinks they should ‘give up’.
O’Hara told Sky Sports: “He should go talk to Arteta. I would like to go on loan in January and go to another club in the Premier League and play every week and get on a plane for my rights.”
“Arsenal, they won’t let that happen, so he’ll just have to suck it up, deal with it and get back into the Arsenal team.
“From a future star point of view, Miles Lewis-Skelly will be in the England squad. He will have to fight his way back into the team. Once he is back in the Arsenal team, Thomas Tuchel will have his eye on him again.”
