“I met Marilyn and she was so elegant and kind,” Quinlan recalled in 2014 to break the interview. “Jim and Marilyn flew me to Houston.
“I met many astronaut wives. I noticed when I met them and talked with them about their strong, important influence and where they were in their hearts before they took off,” she continued. “They had to be really prepared and they had a lot of relationships with people who supported them. Marilyn was very kind.”
