DEYAL AL BARA, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israeli attacks and gunfights in the Gaza Strip killed at least 46 Palestinians on Wednesday morning.
The deaths include more than 30 people killed while seeking humanitarian aid, according to dozens of injured people.
Israeli forces did not immediately comment on the strike, but only targeted extremists and blamed Hamas civilian deaths as the group’s militants operate in densely populated areas.

According to the hospital, 13 others were killed in strikes in Jabariya refugee camp and in the north towns of Beit Rahiya and Beit Hanon.

In the addition, seven Palestinians, including children, have died of malnutrition-related causes in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, the territorial health ministry said Wednesday. A total of 89 children have died of malnutrition since the war began in Gaza. The ministry said 65 Palestinian adults also died from malnutrition-related causes throughout Gaza since they began counting adult deaths in late June.
Hamas launched the war on October 7, 2023 with an extremist-led attack on Southern Israel, luring around 1,200 people and 251 others. Israel believes that more than half of the remaining hostages are dead, but they still hold 50 hostages. Most of the rest was released in ceasefires or other deals.
Israeli retaliatory attacks have killed more than 60,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. That count does not distinguish between extremists and civilians. The ministry operates under the Hamas government. The UN and other international organizations consider it the most reliable source of data on victims.
