Reports say Brighton and Hove Albion want Manchester United’s target Carlos Valleva to £104 million.
The Red Devils’ interest in Baleva first appeared Wednesday night, with David Ornstein (after Indy F**king-kaila) reporting that contact was made through an intermediary.
Ornstein told The Athletic:
“It is recognized in all respects that the switch could be unrealistic at the moment, especially if it sealed off the move proposed for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco.”

United will thus far complete the signatures of Matthews Cuña, Brian Mbeumo, Diego Leon and Enzo Cana Bijk this summer, defeating Newcastle United to the signatures of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco.
After signing Sesko in a transaction worth £73.6 million, Ruben Amorim’s side is under pressure to offload the players.
The sale of Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony has always been part of the plan, but after charging Slovenian strikers such a large fee, it is now essential.
And despite not making any money from previous players’ sales this summer, United are tied to Baleba’s move.

Brighton should not let the best players do cheap. The fact that it was intended to use the club as a stepping stone is certainly well known when they sign.
Valeva falls into that bracket and has attracted the attention of the Premier League big boys with his performance on the South Coast.
According to ESPN, the Old Trafford Club is clearly very keen to sign Cameroonians, but it costs more than £100 million.
The report claims Brighton’s asking price is £104 million, and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is said to be a “long-time worshiper” of Valleva.
United boss Amorim is also a fan, but signing Sesco makes the club “more difficult” as they pursued the Seagulls midfielder.
Signing a midfielder is only possible if unnecessary players move on as Garnacho is attracting interest from Chelsea.
Baleba is reportedly happy to stay at Amex this summer, which is even worse for Red Devils.
The report adds that former Baleba club Lille has a 20% sale clause on transfer fees of over 30 million euros.
Brighton has gained a reputation as one of the best-selling clubs in the Premier League, and is unlikely to be upset by the 21-year-old’s sudden request price.
They sold Moises Kayseko, Mark Culera and Joa Pedro to Chelsea for a total of around £200 million, but Benjamin White brought Arsenal to Alexis Mac Alistair a significant fee for Liverpool as well.
