December 31, 2024: Baldoni, Wayfarer and others sues the New York Times
Baldoni, Wayfarer, Heath, Sarowitz, Nathan, Tag, Abel, RWA Communications, Wallace and Street Relations filed a lawsuit against the New York Times on December 31st.
In the lawsuit obtained by E! News, The News, The News, New York Times is accused of breach of the implied contract in articles about honour-defeating, false light invasions of privacy, promise fraud, and retaliatory smear campaigns.
The report was “false” and based on Lively’s CRD’s complaints, the plaintiff denied the accusation and allegation message cited in the article, and the complaints were out of context.
“Even though they allegedly reviewed these along with other documents (,) the era relied almost entirely on Lively’s unverified selfish and skilled narrative,” the lawsuit states.
They also argue that “it was lively and not the plaintiff who engaged in the calculated smear campaign.” She denied this.
The New York Times said it plans to “affirm the lawsuit against it.”
“The role of an independent news organization is to follow the facts they lead,” he told E!! “Our story was reported with great care and responsibility. This was based on reviews of thousands of pages of original documentation, including text messages and emails that were accurate and detailed estimates in the article.”
