EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Maes has joined Blumhouse as their Executive Vice President, Marketing.
Maes will report to Karen Barragan, Chief Marketing Officer.
Maes will lead the company’s brand evolution, with oversight across consumer products, live experiences, partnerships, and other key brand initiatives.
A marketing executive with over 15 years of experience, Maes has worked at Lionsgate and Netflix, where she led multiple cross-functional teams that drove marketing strategy across editorial, creative and PR. Additionally at Netflix, she was key in leading Japan to become one of the company’s top growth regions during her tenure there. Most recently, she served as a consultant for Blumhouse and other clients such as Peacock on their marketing initiatives and creating scalable growth strategies.

We’ve worked together across multiple chapters of our careers, including at Netflix, and I’m thrilled to continue that collaboration in this expanded role.”
Blumhouse also announced that Michelle Krigsfeld has joined the marketing department to lead Social and Brand. Krigsfeld comes to Blumhouse from the agency Motive, where she founded and led the award-winning Social & Digital department. Krigsfeld worked on brand, theatrical, and award campaigns for studios like A24, Searchlight Pictures, and FX.
Krigsfeld and Rachel Collins, Marketing Operations Manager, will report to Maes.
Next up for Blumhouse is Black Phone 2 on Oct. 17 and Five Nights at Freddy’s on Dec. 5 via Universal.
