Reports say West Ham United could lose star player Jarrod Bowen if his form is not improved under new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
Bowen scored three goals in six Premier League games this season, while West Ham had four points in the opening of six games.
Hammer sat 19th in the Premier League above the Wolverhampton Wanderers, and badly launched a campaign to sacrifice his job to Graham Potter.
Despite Potter performing his usual media duties prior to his trip to Everton on Monday, West Ham fired him on Saturday morning and quickly replaced him with head coach Nottingham Forest, who had recently left.
Nuno was in the dugout as West Ham drew 1-1 at Everton. He hopes to win his first victory as the Irons boss against Arsenal on Saturday.
Nuno told reporters on Friday: “We know we have to compete, and that is the main message that has been passed on to me. We have to be strong, we have to be offensive, we have to be brave.
“We want to bring our fans closer to us. They were in Liverpool (against Everton on Monday night) and the help they gave us was amazing.
“The bond between the team and the fans is really important. When the fans help, boys feel free and feel joy, so we want to make sure they are giving something to them.”

Bowen is on a contract until 2030, so protecting him isn’t at the forefront of Nuno’s mind, but if West Ham’s shape doesn’t improve, he may have to convince him to remain Captain of the Hammer.
This is according to a football insider, transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke says “something could happen” about Bowen’s future if West Ham continues to struggle.
“Bowen has been West Ham’s most consistent player over the past few seasons. West Ham really doesn’t want to lose him,” O’Rourke said.
“The only way something could change in Bowen’s future is if someone comes and tries to test the water with Bowen’s offer, West Ham will be asking for a big, big fee, as he has a long-term contract with West Ham until 2030.
“Obviously, something could happen if West Ham continues to fight in a relegation fight and is on the wrong end of the table.
“Bowen can think, ‘I want to play at a higher level.’
“As I just said, Bowen’s long-term future remains in West Ham until someone tries to praise him.”
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Arsenal, Nuno revealed that Jeanclair Todivo and Aaron Wambissaka could return from injuries.
“(Yesterday) we worked with 22 boys. (Today) is the day we make decisions,” he said.
“Last week, Todibo didn’t train all the sessions. He wasn’t involved. He’s not involved now. Wait and take a look.
“Thank God this week. They’re recovering. And, as I said today, all players are available except George (Saturday), who unfortunately had problems last week.”
