Chelsea has been hit with 74 charges from the Football Association for alleged payments to agents, the governing body said.
The accusation is related to the time of Rome Abramovich at Stamford Bridge, making the West London side one of the biggest clubs in world football.
During his time at the club, Chelsea won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two Champion Leagues, two Europa Leagues and three League Cups.
However, that period of success could be at a loss when the FA charges Chelsea 74 third-party investments in agents and players.
A statement from the FA on Thursday stated, “The Football Association today accused FA football agent regulations of violations of regulations J1 and C2, A2 and A3, and FA third-party investment regulations A1 and B3 of FA third-party investments in player regulations.
“In total, we received a 74 fee against Chelsea FC.

“The acts subject to claim range from 2009 to 2022, with finality related to events that occurred during the 2010-11 2015-16 play season.
“Chelsea FC was able to handle it until September 19th, 2025.”
The Premier League responded almost immediately, with Chelsea saying in their own statement:
“The club’s ownership group completed the club’s purchase on May 30, 2022. During the thorough due diligence process prior to completion of the purchase, the ownership group recognized potentially incomplete financial reports regarding historical transactions and other potential violations of the FA regulations. As soon as the purchase was completed, the club self-reported these issues to all relevant regulators, including the FA.

“The club demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, providing comprehensive access to club files and historical data, for example. Under Clearlake’s ownership, Chelsea again spent a large amount of money on the summer transfer period, with former defender William Garrass warning them about a potential “problem” with new signing Jarrell Hato.
In the pigeon, Gallas told the Gambling Zone:
“We don’t expect to see him against the biggest aspect of the Champions League, but he should take time to pitch on the weaker sides of the League Cup, FA Cup and Premier League.
“I think that’s an opportunity to show everyone what he can do, especially at this age, because it’s not easy, especially when you’re with older players.
“There are also a lot of new players on the team who have to adapt themselves, and of course everyone is trying to help him, but it’s up to him to show his quality.
“I’m sure he has personality, so that means he’s not afraid of challenges. One of the problems he may have is that he’s a little tiny for the centre-back.
“In the Premier League, the requirements are completely different from those in the Netherlands, so let’s see where he plays.
“He’s done a lot on left back so perhaps he can give Enzo Maresca a rotation option in that position and (becomes a backup) for Mark Kukurera.
“He can also play on the left side of the back three.”
