Chelsea are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior and have submitted an ‘offer’, according to reports.
Vinicius’ future at Real Madrid is in doubt, largely linked to his departure from the Spanish giants, although his contract runs until 2027.
The Brazil international has clashed with Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, fueling speculation that he could leave the club.
Vinicius feels that Alonso is mistreating him. He took issue with his late substitution in Real Madrid’s recent match, and he spat out a dummy after being sent off during the team’s win over FC Barcelona.
The Brazil international has since released a statement explaining his position, but has refused to apologize to Alonso, raising the possibility that he will leave Real Madrid next year.

Earlier this week, journalist Sacha Tavolieri claimed that a move to the Saudi Professional League was the “most likely” outcome, but Vinicius is also attracting interest from the Premier League.
“Following the complete breakdown of contract extension negotiations, Real Madrid has set the starting price for Vinicius Junior at 150 million euros,” Tavolieri explained.
“Tensions between the Brazil national team and coach Xabi Alonso are so high that it is very difficult to imagine Vinicius being in Madrid next season,” a source close to the Real Madrid dressing room said.
It has been widely reported that contract talks have not progressed, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all being linked as possible destinations for the winger.
Now, according to a report in Spain’s Fichajes, Chelsea have increased their interest in Vinicius and have submitted an ‘offer’ worth 150 million euros (approximately £132 million).

However, this move seems unlikely as Vinicius has reportedly made his decision to move to Stamford Bridge clear.
The report claims:
“Chelsea are ready to launch a strong attack to sign Vinicius next season. The amount being discussed is around 150 million euros, which is thought to be the minimum amount Real Madrid would be willing to accept to part with their star player.
However, the player’s entourage denied any talks with other clubs, insisting that he wanted to focus solely on the pitch. The move has been welcomed by Real Madrid’s leaders, who were aware that a dispute of this scale could create unnecessary tension in the midst of La Liga and Champions League competition. ”
