The artist line-up is expanding for the 2025 MTV VMAs.
Conan Gray, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone and Tate McRae are the latest to join previously announced performers Sabrina Carpenter, Ricky Martin, who will be honored with the VMAs Latin Icon Award, Busta Rhymes, who will receive the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award and Mariah Carey, who will receive the Video Vanguard Award, along with Alex Warren, J Balvin, sombr and DJ Snake.
Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2025 MTV VMAs will air live coast-to-coast from New York’s UBS Arena Sunday, Sept. 7 at 8 PM ET/5PM PT on CBS, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.
Gray will make his main stage debut with his hit single “Vodka Cranberry” from his fourth studio album, Wishbone, released earlier this month. Last appearing on 2021 VMAs, Doja Cat will perform her new single “Jealous Type”, Jelly Roll will perform and compete for his first-ever Moon Person, nominated in four categories including Best Alternative, Best Country and Best Hip-Hop. Six-time VMA winner Malone returns for his first performance since 2018. He is nominated this year for Best Collaboration with Blake Shelton for “Pour Me A Drink.” And McRae, with four first-time nominations including Song of the Year for “Sports car” and Best Pop Artist, will make her first appearance on the VMAs main stage.
The 2025 VMAs are produced by Gunpowder & Sky. Bruce Gillmer, Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic, and Barb Bialkowski are executive producers. Alicia Portugal is co-executive producer. Jackie Barba is executive in charge of production. Wendy Plaut is executive in charge of celebrity talent. Lisa Lauricella is executive in charge of music talent.
