Cristiano Ronaldo hit “idiot” on a podcast that criticized Joa Felix for his move from Chelsea to Al Nassle in the summer.
Over the summer there was speculation that Ronaldo was given a say in the transfer as a condition for renewing his contract at the Saudi Arabian Professional League club.
One player he particularly wanted to bring in was Chelsea compatriot Felix, who had Al Nasr shut down a deal worth £43.7 million and took the former Benfica star to the Middle East.
After completing his move to Saudi Arabia, former Atletico Madrid teammate Saul Niguez insisted that Felix would not make enough effort to realize his potential.
Saul told Coop Radio: “Soccer is a team sport. He has all the qualities to become an incredible player, but he’s as good as you, if you’re not working, that’s not enough.
“(Former Rayo Vallecano coach) Paco Jemez said that there’s no talent without effort. Many of us have tried to help Joao, but if you don’t want that…”

Felix received further criticism this week for Tubirinho, a popular Portuguese podcast, questioning a former Chelsea forward for trading European football to Saudi Arabia at the age of 25.
It fired Ronaldo. Ronaldo responded to the Instagram clip, placing three crying emojis and writing, “The idiots don’t understand anything about football, but they still give their opinions.”
Felix recently revealed that Portuguese teammate Ronaldo played a major role in persuading him to join Al Nasr in the summer. He states:
“He was one of the first people to talk to me about coming here and when he spoke to me I felt a great moment and a beautiful feeling, which helped me to persuade me.”

After a 2-1 win against French side Toulouse before the season, Al Nasr manager Jorge Jesus revealed his misfortune with Felix’s performance, telling him to “prepare better.”
Jesus told reporters: “Today I saw his first training match, and he’s completely off of it, especially since he doesn’t train much, he needs to prepare better.
“This is his third training session with us. But I believe in his talent and I am sure he will return to the player he was in Benfica.”
There was high hopes when Felix broke down in Benfica and Portuguese international won a £111 million move to Atletico Madrid on the side of Larriger.
