Daniel David Stewart and Peter Gadiot have been cast as series regulars opposite Patrick Dempsey, Michael Imperioli, Richard Harmon and Odeya Rush in the new Fox drama series Memory of a Killer, from Warner Bros Television and Fox Entertainment, which is slated to premiere in midseason.
From writers Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, Memory of a Killer is inspired by the award-winning 2003 Belgian thriller De Zaak Alzheimer (La Memoire Du Tueur) and follows Angelo Ledda (Dempsey), a hitman who is leading a dangerous double life while hiding an even deadlier personal secret: He has developed early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Stewart will play Jeff, Angelo’s (Dempsey) son-in-law, married to his daughter Maria (Rush). An inventor with self-confidence but no investors, he’s in no rush to get a regular job or treat his father-in-law with respect. With Maria pregnant and a growing family to support, nothing could be better than having Grandpa around the corner, if only he wasn’t a hitman.
Gadiot will portray Dave, a local police detective in sleepy Hudson Springs who has no idea a world class hitman is living there right under his nose, or that Angelo (Dempsey) is that hitman. Dave investigated the drunk driving accident that took Angelo’s wife from him five years ago, and since then he and Angelo have become great friends. Further complicating things, Dave is secretly in love with Angelo’s married daughter, Maria (Rush).
Memory of a Killer is produced by Warner Bros Television and Fox Entertainment. Whitmore and Malone executive produce alongside Cathy Schulman of Welle Entertainment and David Schulner. Arthur Sarkissian and Martin Campbell are also executive producers, along with Peter Bouckaert of Eyeworks.
Stewart just wrapped the feature Hershey opposite Finn Wittrock and Alexandria Daddario and he can currently be seen in season 3 of the Amazon’s Reacher. Previous credits include a lead role in George Clooney’s Hulu series Catch 22 and a recurring role on Apple’s For All Mankind. He’s repped by Gersh, 3 Arts and attorney Ryan LeVine at Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Gadiot can be seen in the mystery thriller Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue on MGM+ alongside Eric McCormack. He previously recurred on Netflix’s One Piece and shot a one-season arc on Yellowjackets for Showtime. He also starred in USA’s Queen of the South as the love interest opposite Alice Braga. He’s repped by Gersh, Waring and McKenna and Amplified.
