Leeds United wastes little time lining up their next business after sealing off Noah Okafor’s arrival.
The Swiss forward has been the club’s ninth summer signing this week, but is already focusing on strengthening another area of the team.
Fark spoke openly about his team’s balance, highlighting the need for players who can deliver to the top of the pitch before signing Okafor. “We definitely need to add a little more firepower ahead to give us the best chance possible to survive.”
Daniel Fark also revealed that he wants more depth in the defense. Fullback positions have certain concerns as transfer deadlines approach.
Isaac Schmidt is set to leave and Leeds will leave Gabriel Gudmundson and Jaden Bogle covers. James Justin of Leicester was explored as an option early in the window, but now his focus has shifted elsewhere.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the name at the top of the list is James Hill, Bournemouth.
Hill, who can act as both centre-back and right-back, has been eye-catching after 25 appearances for Cherry. Ten of them came to the Premier League last season and he was handed a cameo from the bench in his first day defeat to Liverpool.

The 23-year-old has only one year left in his current deal, and is England Youth International, closing at the under-21 level. Farke appears to balance his defensive options, so his versatility is understood as an important attraction.
Leeds now has Sam Byram as the only natural cover behind Gudmunson and Bogle. Hill’s arrival eases pressure while providing another defender with the Premier League experience.
There will also be a busy window that has seen drastic changes on Elland Road. Alongside Okafor, Leeds added Lucas Numeca and Dominique Calvert Lewin, midfield reinforcements Anton Schutt and Sean Longstaff, and defensive additions.
Gabriel Gudmundsson arrives to replace Junior Farpo at left back, but goalkeeper Lucasperi signs from Lyon to expel Iran Mesurier.
Okafor’s £19 million move from AC Milan is the latest in that fuss, with the 25-year-old being announced on Thursday, further increasing the pace and directness of the offense. His signature unleashed optimism among supporters who watched Leeds move with intention this summer in every area of the pitch.
Hill could be the next name passing through the door as Fark’s reconstruction continues at speed.
