Conner Floyd has bid farewell to Chance Chancellor, the character he portrayed on The Young and the Restless, following his exit from the CBS drama.
The actor is moving on to Pecock’s Days of Our Lives, and his last appearance on Y&R aired on Monday, July 28. Floyd paid homage to his time in the daytime soap with an emotional social media post.
“It’s been real GC. What a ride,” he shared on Instagram alongside a video from the behind-the-scenes filming. “I have truly been blessed to call myself a citizen of Genoa City. To share the stage with so many talented and hard working actors, creatives and crew members. This is without a doubt a special place.”
He continued, “I’m grateful to have been a part of such an iconic piece of art that has lasted through the decades and that has such a stellar, die hard fan base. Thank you for accepting me. Chance will always have a close place in my heart. He’s taught me a lot and I’ll miss him dearly. It’s been an absolute honor to represent the Chancellor legacy.”
Floyd ended the post writing, “Detective Chancellor, over and out.”
Chance Chancellor is a fictional charcter from Y&R, which was introduced in 1988 as the son of Nina Webster and Phillip Chancellor III. The character had been portrayed by child actors, including Gossip Girl and You star Penn Badgley, who last played the role in 2001. Chance returned in 2009 as an adult with John Driscoll, who played the role until 2011.
Floyd got his turn as Chance starting in 2021 untill now. Other actors who played the role included Donny Boaz and Justin Gaston.
