EXCLUSIVE: Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominee Dolly De Leon (Nine Perfect Strangers, Triangle of Sadness) will star alongside the previously announced Tatiana Maslany in Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, the upcoming 10-episode series from creator and showrunner David J. Rosen.
The half-hour darkly comedic thriller follows Paula (Maslany), a newly divorced mom who falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer.
De Leon will play Detective Sofia Gonzalez in a series regular role.
Jake Johnson also stars as Karl, Paula’s ex-husband.
Hailing from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios, the series is written and executive produced by creator and showrunner David J. Rosen (Sugar, Hunters), and directed and executive produced by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Mythic Quest). The series was developed by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon, who executive produce for Genre Films under their first-look deal with Apple TV+, and Bard Dorros, who also executive produces for Anonymous Content.
De Leon most recently starred in Season 2 of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers as Agnes, a former nun, working opposite Nicole Kidman, Christine Baranski, and Henry Golding. She also appeared in Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender as Lo/Li for Season 2. On the big screen, she is perhaps best known for playing Abigail in Triangle of Sadness (2022), a film written and directed by Ruben Östlund, and for portraying Rita in Ghostlight (2024), a project she also executive-produced. Her additional film credits include The Cradle of Brave (2023), Jackpot! (2024), and Between the Temples (2024). De Leon is repped by Gersh, Fusion Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
