8. Before accepting the parts, Streep moved very Miranda’s priestly. At that point, despite already collecting two Oscars and another 11 nominations, Streep had not fully mastered the art of seeking more wages. But this time, she spoke up.
“The offer may not reflect my real value, if not insult, in my mind,” she explained to Variety. “I had my ‘goodbye’ and then they doubled the offer. I was 55 years old. And I was just learning how to deal with it on my behalf on a very late date. ”

White hair was also her work, with Streep appearing in an icy rock sitting with her head in the studio. As coach Frankel recalled to EW, “Merrill led Miranda in that meeting, and there was no conversation about his hair. They looked into Merrill’s eyes and never said a word.”
