EXCLUSIVE: Ja’Quan Monroe-Henderson, one of the stars of National Geographic’s Genius: MLK/X, has signed with Established Artists for management.
In Genius: MLK/X, Monroe-Henderson portrayed a young John Lewis, capturing the early resolve of a civil rights icon whose moral leadership would help define a movement. He starred alongside Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre.
Recently building out a resume of work with some of today’s best known filmmakers, the actor has been seen in Ryan Coogler’s Warner Bros. smash Sinners, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindness, Paul Schrader’s Master Gardener, and RaMell Ross’ Oscar-nominated drama Nickel Boys, an Amazon MGM/Orion Pictures title based on the novel from Pulitzer Prize winner Colson Whitehead.
Upcoming, he’ll be seen in Blumhouse/Universal’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, as well as A24’s crime drama Primetime from director Lance Oppenheim.
“Ja’Quan is a fearless and intentional artist whose performances feel both urgent and timeless,” said Established Artists Founder Patrick Havern. “We’re proud to stand behind him as he continues his rise.”
Monroe-Henderson continues to be represented by Rebecca Davis at The Krewe Collective Agency.
