Reports say Tottenham Hotspur has made a “weekend offer” for England International Ebeki Eze and has been “set up” to sign the Crystal Palace star.
Eze emerged as Tottenham’s top transfer target, and after Arsenal targeted him early in the window, they moved in front of Queue for his signature.
The talented attacker was one of the outstanding performers in the Premier League last season and could always leave Crystal Palace after helping to win the FA Cup.
The £68 million release clause reported in Eze’s deal recently expired, but this has not thwarted Spurs, who reportedly agreed to the 27-year-old’s personal terms last week.
Initially, it was reported that Eze was not involved in the palace with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, but the club and players made a last-minute U-turn, as named for Oliver Glasner’s Starting XI.

Nevertheless, the Spurs remain suited to sign Eze in the coming days, with a new report from the Sun claiming to “seal” the deal with Crystal Palace.
Eze to Tottenham is said to have approached as the North London Club made a “£60 million offer” for the outstanding palace on the “weekend”.
However, the Palace “continues to play him” until the deal is hit with the Spurs in a deal that “is not expected to happen before the Eagles conference league tie on Thursday.”
The Sun is likely based on comments from Glasner after his side’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Speaking of Eze, Glasner said:
“He trained for a week, so there was no reason not to choose him.
“He’s coming to Crystal Palace Training Ground today on Tuesday. We look forward to it being Wednesday and he plays for Fredrikstad and us.”
Glasner added: “Players give answers every week. Last week they won Liverpool on the same thing against the Community Shield.
“Next, we will play against the Club World Cup champions, showing that this group is a really great group of characters.
“We don’t affect all the noise and all the rumors around us, but we know what we want to do. We know how we want to play. This is what we want to show all the games.
“The players did great things. They didn’t just show that they’re great footballers, but they’re amazing people, and that’s what I expected.”
