Reports say Manchester United is backed by a Saudi Arabia offer from club captain Bruno Fernandez in January.
Al-Hilal is willing to make Fernandes the best transfer target during the summer transfer period and offer the Man UTD midfielder a bonus in addition to a £700,000-a-week tax-free contract.
Reports suggested that the Red Devils would receive around £100 million if Fernandez showed he was open to travel, but ultimately decided to stay at Old Trafford.
Fernandez said in the summer: “There was a wait to think about the future, and as I always said, if Manchester United thought it was, I would be happy to do it.
“I spoke to Coach Reuben Amorim, who said that throughout that period it was a very annoying thing for me not to go! The club said they didn’t want to sell me only if I wanted to leave.

Man Utd has launched the 2025/26 season very poorly. This means that Fernandez will be able to rethink his future with the January transfer period.
Reuben Amorim’s team won only two of the six opening matches of the Premier League, but was dumped from the Carabao Cup after a humiliating defeat to the town of Grimsby in League 2 side.
Fernandez is playing alongside this campaign in a deeper role alongside Casemilo and Manuel Ugarte.
He remains United’s best performer, but that’s all he can do, and he made costly errors at key moments.

That would not be a major surprise if Fernandez had called for a move to Saudi Arabia in January. And new reports from the Manchester Evening News claim that there is expected to be renewed interest.
The report says that Middle Eastern and European teams are “high alerts” as Saudi Arabian professional league clubs prepare Manchester United’s “decision” and the Red Devils continue to struggle under Amorim.
Interested clubs can “take advantage of the confusion” by submitting a bid for Fernandez and will again speak about the tax-free offer of £700,000 a week.
The Champions League club is also said to be monitoring his situation, the man adds.
Man UTD is currently 14th in the Premier League and hosts the newly promoted Sunderland on Saturday.
Anything that was considered Gim before the season began is now visible. Sunderland arrives in Old Trafford in great form and sits sixth at the table.
