Good Good Golf, a golf, media and lifestyle brand that operates a popular YouTube channel, has raised $45 million in new funding.
The investment round was led by Creator Sports Capital, a newly formed investment firm founded by Benjamin Grubbs and Brian Kabot. Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions is a significant backer, along with Manhattan West Private Equity and Sunflower Bank. More than 50 global investors who are connected with the sport of golf are also participating.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand its content offerings and go further into retail and live experiences.
Since launching in 2020 after Garrett Clark and Matt Kendrick struck up a conversation at a golf tournament, Good Good Golf has quickly gained traction. Its own roster of personalities often mingle on screen with top pros like Bryson DeChambeau and Rickyie Fowler. It has amassed more than 1.75 million YouTube subscribers, with videos blending competition, entertainment and lifestyle elements.
Kendrick is CEO of the company. Along with Clark creators also include Stephen Castaneda and Matt Scharff.
“Good Good Golf has seen incredible momentum as we continue to redefine what it means to be a modern golf brand,” Kendrick said. “This investment allows us to scale our media and commerce initiatives, bringing even more exciting content, products, and experiences to our rapidly expanding community. We’re harnessing the power of fandom to make golf more accessible, dynamic, and engaging for players and fans of all ages.”
Good Good Golf has products available direct-to-consumer as well as at Dick’s Sporting Goods. It also has a partnership with Callaway partnership to develop premium golf gear.
Grubbs, who is co-managing partner of Creator Sports, said Good Good is “more than just a media brand – it’s a movement that is reshaping the golf industry.” He added that the company’s “360-degree approach – spanning content, consumer products, retail, and live experiences – has cultivated an engaged fan base and driven extraordinary business growth. Their ability to turn audience passion into thriving commerce, partnerships, and live activations is what makes them so compelling.”
Manning called Good Good’s content “fun and creative,” and said he hopes “they can help me lower my golf score.”
Vela Wood Staley Young P.C. advised Good Good Golf in the transaction. Creator Sports Capital was advised by Moelis & Co., and DME Law, LLP provided legal counsel. Good Good Golf is repped by WME.
