Google launched the Pixel 10 family of phones (Pixel 10, The Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL) on Wednesday, created at the Google Event. All phones are equipped with the company’s new tensor G5 processor. The most notable hardware change in this iteration is when Google first chose a triple camera setup with a base pixel 10 model. Meanwhile, the PRO model has obtained most iterative updates in terms of processor and camera sensors.
Pixel 9 had a wide, ultra-width sensor. The Pixel 10 has 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom, allowing for 20x digital zoom via Super Res zoom. The base model has a 48 megapixel-width sensor, quad phase detection per pixel, faster low light focus, better focus, and a 13 megapixel ultra wade sensor.

The Pro Phone has a new 50 megapixel-width sensor with optical stabilization and Super Res Zoom for video (up to 20x). There is also a 50 megapixel telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom, with an increase in 100x Super RES digital zoom.
All phone screen sizes remain the same. Both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch display. According to Google, every device has a new “Actua” display, allowing you to get up to 3,300 nits brightness on the Pros and 3,000 nits on the Pixel 10.

All pixels are powered by Google’s new tensor G5 chip, combined with the Titan M2 security chip and the new image processing unit. Google said the new chip will increase CPU performance by 34% and TPU (tensor processing unit) by 60% on previous generation chips, allowing for a new kind of AI function faster.
AI Features
Last year, Google introduced Gemini as its default assistant using the Pixel 9, showing features such as the AI-powered Pixel Studio for image generation and the new screenshot app.
This year, the company upgraded Gemini Live to allow for visual overlays while using video to ask questions. This means that your assistant can guide you with directions and signs by highlighting certain parts of the screen.

Google is also making the debut of a new feature called Magic Cue. This means that you can view contextual information from the entire app. For example, if you are calling an airline, you can express flight details through email, or get restaurant reservation details while chatting with friends.
The company is also adding a Gemini-powered camera coach who will guide you to take better photos from the camera interface by suggesting framing and composition. Additionally, Google has added features such as real-time translation for calls, transcript or call screening for missed calls, and integration with the Notebook LM screenshot app, as well as a recorder.
The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro have similar prices, $799 and $999, respectively, with previous generation devices. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL started at $1,199 instead of $1,099, with base storage rising to up to 256GB.
