Liverpool was given the “ultimate” about Mark Guech, and David Ornstein revealed two important conditions related to this potential transfer.
Despite investing around £290 million in signatures as Europe’s biggest spender this summer, Liverpool remains in a further additional market before this window closes.
The exits for Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Jarrell Quanza raised funds as Liverpool remained highly linked to Crystal Palace star Guech and Newcastle United outcast Alexander Isaac.
Teen centre-back Giovanni Leoni is Liverpool’s latest signature, but in a proposal that Ibrahima Connate is building a heart in Real Madrid ahead of the 2026 contract deadline, they can sign him and Guech this summer.
Guehi has emerged as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League, but as he has entered the final year of his contract, it is said to be available for around £40 million.

England International has linked it with Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but athletic Ornstein claims “we’re only looking at Liverpool if they just leave.”
However, this proposed transaction is said to depend on two terms as it has a decision to decide by the Palace and Guehi.
It will be added to the report:
“The ball is primarily in the court of the palace. If they don’t want to lose Guehi as a free agent – they will need to sanction the captain’s sale, considering he is not planning to renew a contract that is due to expire in June 2026.
“Even so, the English centre-back has to decide whether he wants to fight for the starting spot at Anfield in the World Cup year or see his last 12 months before picking his next destination with his hand.”

Meanwhile, former Premier League Chief Scout Mic Brown believes the Palace will give Liverpool the “ultimate” as Gaehi and Ebeki “don’t want to lose” this summer.
“Crystal Palace doesn’t want to lose both Eze and Guehe,” Brown told Soccer Insider.
“Losing two best and most important players, especially after the season has already begun, will hit the manager’s plan a big blow.
“Of course, if they lose a player, they can replace them, but it’s very difficult to replace both Eze and Guehe in the small amount of time that remains in the window.
“We understand that he is in the final year of his contract, but the palace is very reluctant to lose him.
“Aids now appear to be joining Tottenham, Palace hopes to inform Liverpool that Guehe is not likely to go anywhere.
“If that happens, they need to do it quickly so they can find a replacement.
