Former Man Utd midfielder Owen Hargreaves wants to see Benjamin Sesko drop for Bryan Mbeumo with a tactical mod.
The Red Devils took Sesco to Old Trafford from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, spending £74 million with a new addition well over £200 million.
Sesko has only started four of his seven appearances in all competitions and only scored his first goal last weekend as Man Utd lost 3-1 to Brentford in West London.
Mbeumo also scored 20 goals in Brentford’s Premier League last season, costing Man UTD of around £71 million.
The 26-year-old also has only one Premier League goal in his name this season as Mann UTD continues to struggle under the leadership of Ruben Amorim.
And now, instead of signing the Summer Sesko, Hargreaves wants to see Mbeumo move Mbeumo further forward as No. 9.

Hargreaves said on TNT Sports:
“But now, Bruno has to play deeper to get on the ball and create. He’s not playing natural positions. He’s playing deeper.
“He plays as a box-to-box midfielder. Bruno is one of the best creators in the Division, so you have to play him in his natural position.
“But they play two 10, so you can argue that the two best players in Man UTD last season are Amad (Diallo) and Bruno.
“They were two tens, and then they signed two more 10 teens with Cunha and Mbeumo when there were no keepers or strikers.”

Merson explains why Glasner is not suited for Man Utd in claiming that Glasner is waiting for Amorim Sack
Man UTD, blamed on the Southgate plan, is considered a “deep concern” that is likely to force change with Sunderland’s losses
Hargreaves added: “I’d like to see Bruno play as Issue 10. Maybe if you’re playing Mbeumo as No. 9 and Cunha and Bruno as two 10s Plus Mbeumo, that’s a good thing.
“Maybe if you want to stay in the formation, I’ll play Amado as the back of the wing on the left. I think Bruno will be tough.
“What he was able to create from their consistency perspective is what you need from everyone.”
Hargreaves’ comments come after Paul Merson claimed that Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta was “a much better player than Sesko” and that Man Utd should have bought him in the summer.
Merson said in The Good, The Bad & The Football Podcast:
“He’s playing two players behind him (Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo) from the cuff.
“Last season, on the day of the transfer deadline, I said Man United needed someone like Jean Philippe Mateta.
“But they’re not going to buy him because he plays at Crystal Palace. He’s not fashionable enough.
“But he’s a much better player than Sesco. And he does it in the week of the Premier League. As a player, you love your team’s mateta.”
