Production payroll and accounting concern Wrapbook has launched a new interactive tool that offers searchable, filterable access to union scale rates and contract details.
Called Rate Finder, it gives production finance teams instant access to union and guild minimums, schedules, and guaranteed hours, replacing what it calls static, complex rate sheets with a modern, intuitive platform.
Features include AI-powered smart search, advanced filters, and a Project Planner tab that lets users save project details and estimate labor costs to streamline budgeting and payroll preparation.
“Union agreements are notoriously complex, often running hundreds of pages and packed with nuanced rules,” said Paul Schoeman, Senior Director of Labor Relations at Wrapbook. “Having spent years on both the union and management sides, I’ve seen firsthand how much time productions spend searching for the right rates. With the Rate Finder, we’ve distilled decades of payroll and labor expertise into a tool that gives productions the answers they need in seconds—helping them work at the pace today’s industry demands.”
The company said Rate Finder will be adding future-period rates and expanded functionality for long-term planning.
Wrapbook was launched in 2018 by Ali Javid and Cameron Woodward, going up against entrenched rivals by touting its push to modernize entertainment payroll and production accounting,
Last year, it raised $20 million in a funding round the company said valued it at $750 million. That followed a $100 million round led by Tiger Global Management with and investors including Jeffrey Katzenberg’s WndrCo and Andreessen Horowitz, valuing the company at $1 billion.
