Universal’s live action adaptation of DreamWorks cartoon hit How to Train Your Dragon hasn’t opened yet (June 13), but the studio is so over the moon about it, they’ve greenlit a sequel. Dean DeBlois, the filmmaker behind the animated and live-action franchise, just revealed the news with a release date: June 11, 2027. The director then tossed it to Universal’s 43 piece orchestra conducted by Ricky Minor with Scottish music from the latest pic’s score.
A preview of How to Train Your Dragon was shown this morning at CinemaCon.
