Tech Behemoth IBM is partnering with the AI Research Lab Humanity to bring AI into its software.
New York-based IBM Armonk announced on Tuesday that it will add Anthropic’s Claude large family of language models to some of its software products. Claude’s first product is IBM’s integrated development environment. This will make the customer selection group already available.
IBM also announced that it has created a guide in partnership with humanity on how companies can build, deploy and maintain enterprise-grade AI agents.
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. TechCrunch also contacted IBM to provide further information on the future of the partnership.
Humanity has made a major push into the enterprise sector since its release of Claude Enterprise in September 2024.
The company also announced a deal on Monday that would lead Claude to consulting to consulting the global workforce of nearly half a million people at consulting titan Deloitte. Humanity said this would still be the largest enterprise rollout for the company.
A July survey conducted by Menlo Ventures found that companies preferred the Claude model over other AI models, including Openai. The study found that companies’ use of Openai’s model has been declining since 2023.
