Alan Shearer blew up Alexander Isaac Saga of Newcastle as a “disaster” as he told the Magpie to sell a striker to the Magpie if Eddie Howe could not solve the current problem.
Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League in the past few seasons. He scored 21 and 23 goals last season in 2023/24.
Newcastle finished seventh and fifth that season, securing Champions League football in second place and also won the League Cup.
The Magpie beat Liverpool to that particular silverware, but the Reds had a bigger prize in mind by robbing their homeland for the Premier League title and registering interest in Isaac.
Newcastle’s attitude is for the huge figure, not for sale, but for the great man, but Liverpool tried to get him. Isaac begs his club to let him go and is angry that they are not doing so now.
Magpie legend Shearer is not happy with the way things are unfolding and thinks the sale is appropriate if Howe can’t fix things.
“Pre-season disaster. Absolute disaster. Where do you start? One victory. All the talks were about ISAK,” Shearer said, “The rest of the football.”
“It was a disaster for them. I really have it. I thought it should have been time for Newcastle to kick after he entered the Champions League and won the trophy.
“I thought it was time to go out and take three or four big players, so I thought it would happen, and I said about the CEO and sports director.
“They need to sort out the situation as quickly as possible in Isaac. I think he’ll stay until someone has in. Maybe Eddie can tell him.

Hau is clearly aware of the problem he had before. The Newcastle boss recently suggested that he cannot involve Isaac in his team as he is trying to force a move.
He said, “It’s obvious at this point that we can’t get him into the group.”
But he also suggested that he would not fix things, saying, “It’s not me, he won’t answer.”
