RB Leipzig has rejected Newcastle United’s bid for Benjamin Sesco.
Newcastle provided Leipzig with £65.5 million on add-ons on £4.3 million.
Earlier this week, Ornstein revealed that Leipzig’s request is £65.5 million in advance, plus £4.3 million in add-ons with additional terms.
Manchester United will also be interested in signing Sesco this summer, but they may need to sell players before making an offer.
Newcastle’s interest follows Alexander Isaac’s decision to pursue a move to Liverpool. Arne Slot’s side failed in a £110 million bid for the 25-year-old on Friday.

Putting Sesko through the door is a huge boost for Reds, and Slovenian has been identified as the top choice for magpies replacing Isak.
United’s interest complicates the matter and will be pleased that Newcastle has failed its opening offer.
On Saturday evening, Ornstein reported that Leipzig deemed the bid “inadequate.”
It is claimed that the 22-year-old has “not yet made a solid decision about his preferred destination.”
Report on the country of movement:
Newcastle United’s 80 million euro bid for Benjamin Sesco fell short of RB Leipzig’s rating for the striker.
Athletic reported on Saturday that Newcastle United had made an offer worth 80 million euros to RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco.
Manchester United are also interested in Sesco, and the Slovenian striker has yet to make a solid decision at his preferred destination.
Sesco was being monitored by Arsenal, but the North London side chose to pursue the moves of Isaac’s compatriot, Victor Gyoker.
Chelsea also praised Sesco for several years, but moved to sign Liam Dellup and Joa Pedro earlier this summer.
ISAK has been training at his former club, Real Sociedad this week after withdrawing from Newcastle’s preseason Asian preseason tour due to “thigh issues.”
Magpie head coach Eddie Howe has admitted to learning about the striker’s whereabouts through social media.
“My situation excludes me from what was happening back home,” Howe said at a press conference.
“I was noticed yesterday and the bid was turned down before I heard about it, and people returning to England are dealing with the situation.
“We really don’t know what’s going to happen next. From our perspective, we still support Alex in every respect. My hope is that he’s wearing a Newcastle shirt again.
“It’s difficult because you don’t know what’s going to happen. There may be all sorts of stories and hypothetical situations, but we’re dealing with reality.
“The reality is that we got our first bid from Liverpool yesterday, so let’s see what happens from this point on.
“I’m not going to predict that. From my perspective, we can talk about us in terms of trying to confuse players. We try to do things the right way.
“I can’t talk about other clubs. That’s not what I say.”
