The side trousers’ trousers loaded sleeve-like panels that influenced the model’s stance, as well as the single seat wrap and supple faux leather, appeared to be “growth” around the torso. The scuba-like appearance of the net packed with Toylike objects has turned into accumulation, as if the clothing itself was consumed and outlined.
The jacket with evacuated openings forced a new way of entering and moving. The black and white tailoring remained tense, but the shoulders were lifted up at first glance like their own coincidence, creating a bouncy, evil line.
The branded shoebox telegraphed the ongoing footwear collaboration as the model circled the DJ in rounds, but on the body the idea was autonomy.
Founded in Tokyo in 1970 by Issey Miyake, this iconic home has become famous for creating light clothing with a sculpture – material engineering, innovative pleats, paper and washi paper, single piece construction. Under current designer Satoshi Condo, its legacy continues its ongoing dialogue between movement-driven forms and art and performance.
In Pompidou, these signatures read neatly: zero gravity volume, precise cutting, textures that shift with movement were enhanced by live soundscapes that treat textiles as active substances.
The warning is familiar. The concept is occasionally framed towards prop theatres, such as boxes, stuffing nets, and obscures everyday use. Commercial clarity is blurred when the silhouette imposes rather than housed.
Still, this was one of the label’s more trendy recent excursions. It is most convincing when controlled side by side, ideas are active, clothes are guided and the body continues.
