Alexis Bellino has been reportedly shown the door and exiting The Real Housewives of Orange County for the second time.
After appearing as a “friend of” throughout Season 18, the reality TV personality confirmed she would not return to the Bravo series.
“I was not asked back next season,” Bellino said on the Going Rogue podcast.
Bellino originally joined RHOC in Season 5 as a full-time housewife, holding an orange for four seasons through Season 8, after which she exited. Bellino appeared as a guest in the following years, but it was not until Season 18 that she was officially in the mix again as a “friend.”
“There’s the door Shannon Beador,” was the quote Bellino was known for during the show’s most recent season.
Bellino clashed with co-star Beador throughout Season 18 after she started dating her ex-boyfriend John Janssen. Beador and Bellino already had a history when Bellino’s ex-husband sued Beador for defamation in 2018. Bellino’s ex lost the legal battle, but it crippled Beador’s finances due to the cost of defending herself. After Beador broke up with Janssen, Bellino started dating him, and the two got engaged for marriage earlier this year.
Not being asked back for another season of RHOC didn’t surprise Bellino, saying in the podcast, “I can’t say it came as a shock. It did not come as a shock. It was a hard conversation.”
Bellino noted that she “wasn’t really prepared” as she “didn’t think contracts were coming out” for the new season, “adding, “I thought we had more time. [So] it was a shock when the call came, but I was never shocked about that information.”
Bellino says not getting asked back “was a little bit of a relief.”
“I mean nobody wants the rejection, and no one wants to [hear] you’re not asked back,” she said. “But it already happened to me. It happened to me in season 8. I’ve been there, done that!”
