In what could be a major storyline in Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that his cattle have “gone down” with tuberculosis.
The Diddly Squat Farm owner said he was “absolutely devastated” that a female cow, pregnant with twins, had contracted the infection. Under UK law, those infected must be culled.
“Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated,” Clarkson wrote on X/Twitter. “I should clear this up really. It’s Bovine TB that we have. It doesn’t affect people, just our poor cows.”
Clarkson’s affinity with his cattle has been a major storyline in the past two seasons of Clarkson’s Farm, with Season 4 showing him acquiring cows at a cattle auction.
The Amazon Prime Video show also followed Clarkson as he bought a bull, which was named Endgame. Clarkson said a TB test on Endgame was “inconclusive.” Responding to an X user, he said: “I couldn’t bear it if we lost him.”
Expectation, the production company that produces Clarkson’s Farm, is still filming Season 5. There is no guarantee that the TB outbreak will make the final cut, but Clarkson’s social media posts underscore the fact that it is a major event on the farm.
