Scheana Shay had a relationship with a mysterious woman
“There was this instant connection,” when Scheana met a woman she identified only as “DD” at the 2019 Stagecoach Music Festival. Bonding to mutual love for Sam Hunt, they continued kicking it in LA and kissing him one night at Tom Tom.
For the next few months, he said, “It’s become this weird thing that you can get drunk and tell the people you were dating.”
The situation left her confused thinking whether she was bisexual, lonely, on top of a man, or simply attracted to this one woman.
“It felt more than friendship, but it’s not enough to acknowledge or commit to the relationship,” Sheana said. “Part of me wants to express to DD to see how I was feeling and whether she feels the same, but the fear of rejection outweighed finding what we could do for me.”
They then met the block at another music festival that September. He initially hit DD, but she wrote, “Their personality didn’t click,” keeping things in place with him and Scheana.
After a November trip to Australia and Bali, in crazy love, the pair were out with DD. “And like I used to, she kissed me,” Sheana said. “He said, “You’re my girlfriend now. You don’t do that. You have something and it’s over now, or I’m gone.”
