Jeremy Vine’s Debut Novel Optioned For TV

BBC presenter Jeremy Vine’s novel Murder on Line One has been optioned for TV by new UK indie Mill Bay Media. Vine’s debut, which launches later this month, is about a late-night radio talk show host who sets out to solve a murder. It is one of two projects being made by Mill Bay, alongside a Jim Cartwright-penned cozy crime series, which Mill Bay said is in development for a major UK broadcaster. Backed by 53 Degrees Global, Mill Bay has been launched by ex-BBC drama execs Will Trotter and Ollie Kent, whose credits include Father Brown and Sanditon. Vine said: “The Mill Bay Media team are a real force in TV drama with golden reputations. They put Father Brown onscreen and made it one of the most successful cosy crime daytime dramas in British TV history.”
