Manchester United legend Roy Keane has insisted that Liverpool have no chance of winning the Premier League after losing 3-0 to Man City.
Liverpool, who had won against Aston Villa and Real Madrid in recent days, were brought to the ground by an almighty shock on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds had a chance to move within five points of leaders Arsenal when they faced Man City, but were completely outplayed at the Etihad as Pep Guardiola’s side ran out of players worthy of winning.
Erling Haaland broke the deadlock with a header after saving a penalty, and Nico Gonzalez’s deflected shot saw Man City double their lead before half-time.
Liverpool weren’t too bad in the second half, however, as they were caught on the counter-attack by Jeremy Doku, who capped off a great performance with a fine finish from outside the penalty area.

The result leaves Liverpool seventh in the Premier League, eight points behind Arsenal in the standings before the international break.
After the final whistle, Keane bluntly announced that Liverpool would be eliminated from the title race.
“I can’t think of Liverpool as title contenders,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“It was a tough defeat, but it reminded me of the old City. They were outstanding. They’re back in the team.”
Gary Neville said of Arne Slott in commentary: “Slot doesn’t seem to know his strongest side.”
Neville also suggested that Man City’s result and performance could “send a message” to Arsenal, who drew 2-2 with Sunderland on Saturday night.
“It was about which of these two clubs would emerge as the closest challenger to Arsenal and whether they could send a message to the Gunners,” Neville said on commentary.

“Pep Guardiola played his 1000th game as manager and his team and staff achieved it.
“It’s a really good day for Guardiola and Man City, but a difficult day for Arne Slott and Liverpool.”
Daniel Sturridge and Micah Richards also praised Man City, calling Doc’s performance “brilliant”.
“Tactically they were better than Liverpool today. The way they pressed was great. They caused big problems for Liverpool’s build-up,” Sturridge said.
“How have the Liverpool players performed? They have been far from the previous players. If they are honest with themselves, they will know that they are not playing at their level.
“Manchester City were great.”
Micah Richards said of Doc:
“He took his game to the next level in terms of scoring. The way he did it, how many times did you see him run down a dead end or pick the wrong pass?”
“He has that conviction now.”
