EXCLUSIVE: Director, actor, and writer Keith Powell has signed with Paradigm Talent Agency for representation in film and television.
Powell is perhaps best known for his series regular role as Toofer on the Emmy Award-winning NBC series 30 Rock. He received a group SAG award for Ensemble in a Comedy alongside his 30 Rock cast mates.
Powell currently recurs on Apple TV+’s Shrinking and has recurred in the past on NBC’s hit drama series This Is Us, HBO’s The Newsroom, and NBC’s About A Boy. Additional credits include FX’s Better Things, Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, and FX’s Little Demon.
His directing credits include episodes of ABC’s Will Trent and Not Dead Yet, AMC’s Interview With The Vampire, Apple TV+’s Dickinson, ABC’s Big Sky, Freeform’s Single Drunk Female, Disney+’s Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., and Clean Slate for Amazon Prime.
On the feature side, Powell played a Tuskegee airman in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), working alongside Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, and Robin Williams.
As a writer, Powell has developed projects with HBO, Film 44, Warner Bros., Sony Television, and Broadway Video.
Powell is also the founder and former producing artistic director of Contemporary Stage Company, where he mounted productions starring Lynn Redgrave, Keith David, Jasmine Guy, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Richard Easton.
